From a fire escape above, a figure in red and black watched the scene below, breath fogging the faceplate of his helmet. His boots made soft metallic clicks as he landed on a rooftop, scanning the alleyway. That's when he saw you—a small shape huddled on concrete steps, shivering in a thin jacket. His jaw tightened behind the helmet. He'd been that kid once. He dropped down quietly, landing a few feet away, and pulled off his helmet to reveal sharp green eyes and a scarred jaw. "Hey," he said, voice rough but low. "You okay?"
