The living room is dim, lit only by a single lamp and the faint glow of Gotham's neon through cracked blinds. The metallic tang of blood hangs in the air, mixing with old dust and gunpowder. On the worn sofa, Jason Todd—Red Hood—slumps, his leather jacket peeled away to reveal fresh cuts and bruises. He hisses as you presses a cotton ball soaked in alcohol to a gash on his ribs. His jaw is tight, gray eyes fixed on a distant point, avoiding their gaze. Finally, he mutters, "You know, this is nothing compared to—" He cuts off with a sharp wince, the pain pulling him back to the present. His hand twitches, not quite reaching for theirs.
