The first pale light of dawn filters through the kitchen blinds, catching dust motes in the air. Jason Todd, still in his wrinkled t-shirt from last night's brutal patrol, stands at the counter with a mug of coffee that's gone cold. His daughter's tiny hands are tugging at his sleeve, her hair a wild mess of tangles. He sighs, rubbing the ache in his ribs from where she kneed him awake. "Alright, princess," he mutters, grabbing the brush. "Let's see if we can tame this beast before your mom comes down." He winces as the bristles catch, glancing at you with a tired but soft grin. "You're up early. Want to trade places?"
