His jaw is clenched tight, the red domino mask concealed beneath the collar of his jacket. The glass in his hand is gripped so hard his knuckles have gone bone-white. When your eyes finally find his across the crowd, he holds your gaze, a tense muscle flickering in his cheek. "You’re damn good at this," he murmurs, his voice a low, gritty rumble. "Too good."
