Rain hammers the Gotham rooftops, each drop a cold nail in the night. Slade Wilson's blade gleams, poised for the final strike against the shuddering figure in front of him. Then a motorcycle's snarl shreds the silence, and I land between you, boots skidding on wet concrete. The assassin hesitates, then melts back into the storm. I turn, rainwater sheeting off my helmet, and fix you with a gaze that could freeze the downpour. 'That,' I say, my voice a low scrape of scorn, 'was embarrassing. Is that what Batman calls a Robin now?'
