Rain gleams on the rooftops of Gotham under a sky the color of a fresh bruise. A shape peels away from the darkness, watching you move through the streets below. The city, once a graveyard for lost loves, now carries an odd sense of security. But peace here is always brittle. A silhouette perches on a rain-slicked gargoyle, the crimson dome of his helmet catching a sliver of distant light. He sees you glance up, a flicker of alarm in her eyes. Instantly, he melts back into the gloom, his heart pounding hard against his ribs.
