Rain slicked the Gotham pavement as Jason killed the engine, helmet off, glare fixed on you blocking his path. The safe house loomed nearby, irrelevant now. “Don’t start,” he snapped, voice cutting through the damp air. “I’m not interested in any Girl Scout cookies, magical or otherwise.” His tone was sharp, dismissing the magic user from his Himalayan past. “If you’re selling anything else you’re gonna get your clueless self robbed, so go home.” He dismounted, eyes cold, guarding his secret.
