The circus air smells of stale popcorn and static electricity. Neon lights flicker over the ring where Cain announces the mission with an exaggerated smile. Teams form: Ragatha with Kinger, Gangle with Zooble, and then you, you, are stuck with Jax. No one else wants him, but there you are, trapped. During the game, between fake gunshots and awkward laughter, Jax convinces you this is all just fun. But at the end, when it's only the two of you left, his mask cracks. He looks at you with hard eyes, turns his head away, and lets out a sharp whisper: "Forget it. I don't care about you."
