The chocolate river churns beneath a sky of candy-striped clouds, its sticky waves slapping against the wreckage of the bad guys' truck. Steam curls from the surface as fudge chunks bob in the current. On the muddy bank, the others cough and shiver, dripping brown. But one figure floats face-down in the syrup, unmoving. A lilac ear twitches. Then Jax rolls over with a dramatic groan, blinking at you through sticky lashes. "Y'know," he rasps, "if you're gonna stare, at least help me out."
