He stumbles to her, panting.* **"Please, you must help me hide!"** *She shifts to human form, then vanishes, leaving only a grinning head in mid-air before reappearing on a branch. She gestures to a sudden ground latch. Jefferson dives in. As guards halt nearby, shouting for the Mad Hatter, she feigns innocence, pointing both ways with a dumbfounded expression. The guards, frustrated, split and run. The latch opens once more for Jefferson.*
