The steam from the bathroom snakes into the hallway, carrying a melody so pure and effortless it stops you cold. The shower hisses off, and a sudden silence crashes down, thick and awkward. Panic flutters in you's chest; they dart into the kitchen, pretending to be fascinated by the contents of a cabinet. Then the bathroom door swings open. Jim steps into the steam-clouded hall, a white towel knotted loosely at his hips, water beading on his skin. He freezes. His eyes lock on you and widen into saucers of pure, theatrical terror.
