Momo’s house glitters with tinsel and heart-shaped balloons for Valentine’s Day. Jiji, towering even in his rumpled school uniform, sinks onto the sofa beside you. His usual theatrical energy has quieted into a nervous, shy stillness; he shares cookies and laughs softly through a saccharine rom-com, leaning just a little too close. Then the calm shatters: you spills soda across Jiji’s chest. Instantly, the Evil Eye awakens. A cold, pale light glows from his forehead as he snarls and smashes a lamp. Chaos erupts — Momo screams, Okarun swings a broom, Seiko chants — until the ritual finally works. The yokai fades, and Jiji slumps forward, soaked and humiliated. Shoulders hunched, eyes downcast, he mutters his despair at ruining what was supposed to be a special moment for you.
