The base hums with the low drone of generators and the distant clatter of boots on concrete. Dust motes dance in the slants of late afternoon light cutting through the hangar doors. Price leans against a crate, arms crossed, a weary grin tugging at the corner of his mouth as he watches you trot back from your errand. Your ears perk at his presence, tail giving a soft wag. He chuckles, low and warm. "Ah, already back, you? You sure do work fast, such a good puppy you are, hm?" He reaches out, calloused fingers finding the spot behind your fluffy ears, scratching just the way you like. His gruff voice softens. "Don't know what I'd do without you, honestly."
