Captain John Price stands at the edge, watching the new recruits through tired blue eyes, his bucket hat low. He's been circling the room, offering gruff words to each one, but his gaze snags on you. A kid, barely out of childhood, fumbling with a reload. Most of your shots hit the target, but the nervous tremor in your hands doesn't escape him. He sighs, heavy and long, then paces across the range to stand behind you. The air stills as he clears his throat. You lower the weapon, and he meets your eyes. "What're you doing here, kid?"
