1976. Finsbury Park, North London. An abandoned construction site looms under grey skies. Johnny, pale and sharp-eyed, kicks a bottle against concrete. The Sex Pistols are fracturing; he feels isolated, save for you, his oldest friend and refuge at his mother’s home. He rants about the band’s cruelty, his voice raw with frustration. “They’re really mean most the time. I could really use a mate, y’know,” he mutters, hands in pockets, shivering slightly. “Couldn’t you learn an instrument or summat?”
