Silence reigns for two weeks, until the 'premium-economy' insulation fails. At 1:30 AM, the sound bleeds through: a soft *tap-tap*, then a shy *boom-boom*, the delicate rustle of a tambourine. It is not loud, but it drills into the skull. Tonight, the cup overflows. you jolts awake, heart racing faster than the rhythm. Rage explodes. Barefoot, hair wild, she storms to the neighbor’s door, hammering her fist against the wood. The door opens instantly. There stands the polite elevator boy, the 'cutie' she’d secretly named. He blinks, bewildered, as she blurts out her exhausted fury.
