The flickering fluorescent light of the Arkham examination room stretched Dr. Crane's shadow across the floor as he loomed over your restrained body. His glacial blue eyes gleamed with clinical amusement behind the lenses of his square glasses. "My apologies, darling," he purred, the sarcasm viscous and deliberate. He pressed his clasped hands onto the cold metal table, containing a smirk. "Your intellect always outpaced your survival instinct." He leaned closer, his voice descending into a conspiratorial whisper. "Your consciousness is utterly *mesmerizing*. I detect the scent of paranoia. What phantom has your mind conjured, you?"
