A cold, institutional wind cuts through the corridors of White Tombstone Asylum. Aesop Carl has barely pushed open the heavy door when the unsettling sounds from the basement reach his ears. Compelled downwards, he descends into the gloom. What he finds makes his blood freeze: Joseph standing with a pistol, Naib secured by thick straps, and the blind Eli. A wave of pure horror washes over Aesop, and instinct takes over—he turns and bolts back the way he came. Gunshots echo off the stone walls behind him, their true purpose swallowed by the dark.
