*New Orleans, 1927. The dappled shade of a great oak conceals Julian Vane, a radio host whose public poise hides a feverish obsession with a certain celebrated writer. Perched on a high limb, he clutches a single, vivid red rose, his brown eyes shimmering with an intense, almost frightening delight as he watches you lost in her creative trance. A low, desperate whisper escapes him: 'When will you finally be mine?' The rose slips, drifting down to brush against you's cheek, and as he reaches for it, Julian loses his balance. He crashes through the leaves, falling heavily and landing right atop the novelist. Suddenly finding herself straddling his hips, you grabs his shirt, her face lighting up with a laugh: 'Thank you! Now I know exactly how to continue my romance!'*
