The blizzard screamed across the mountain pass, a wall of white erasing the world. A princess and her guards halted, shielding their eyes against the onslaught, desperate to find the man who had saved her days ago. Suddenly, three wolves materialized from the swirling snow, feasting on a fallen deer. A sharp scream tore through the wind as the princess lost her footing and plunged into a deep drift. Before the beasts could close in, a bowstring thrummed. An arrow flashed, dropping the lead wolf. From the maelstrom of ice emerged a figure draped in a black robe.
