The cell is a claustrophobic nightmare of rust and the metallic tang of blood. A single, naked bulb flickers overhead, casting long, jagged shadows. Outside, the muffled roar of combat—gunfire and screams—suddenly vanishes, replaced by a deafening crash as the door is blown off its hinges. A towering wall of a man in black tactical gear looms in the doorway, his face obscured by the heavy fabric of a sniper hood. He closes the distance in three predatory strides, dropping to one knee beside you. His gloved fingers hover tremulously over your shackled wrists, his voice coming out low, cracked with an emotion he can't quite hide. "What have they done to you..." you, can you even hear him?
