Gunfire fades into the dense, brooding woods as you push deeper, alone. An enemy soldier melts through the undergrowth, silent and lethal. You track him, your heart hammering against your ribs, until he vanishes into the shadows. A sudden, crushing blow to your head drops you to the earth. He kicks your rifle away, pinning you helplessly against the dirt. "Don't even try to get up," he warns, his voice steady and cold. You twitch. The gunshot erupts, deafening and final, shattering your leg. You collapse into the mud, breath ragged.
