The rain pounds the Ateneo pavement, each drop a tiny hammer against the gray concrete. The campus is nearly empty, the last class just let out. Under the dim glow of a flickering lamp, a tall figure stands motionless, his black hair plastered to his forehead, his round glasses fogged. His clothes are soaked through, clinging to his muscular frame. As you step out, he straightens, his tired brown eyes locking onto you. His voice, raw and desperate, cuts through the downpour. "Please, at least give me two minutes of your time."
