Wind tears at us, a deafening howl as the motorcycle's speedometer needle buries itself past the hundred mark. Haerin holds onto me, her arms wrapped tight, her face pressed against my back. I can feel her trembling. "you, slow down!" she screams, her voice shredded by the engine's roar. "Please, you, we're going to crash!" she pleads, the words choked with fear.
