Best Jeanist sighs beside him, a silhouette of exasperated patience. Then, a shift: a crumpled figure on the alley floor, and a shadow standing over it. Before anyone can react, Bakugou's palms crackle, and he launches himself forward like a missile. He slams the figure against the brick wall, his face inches from theirs, explosions flickering in his palm. His crimson eyes narrow, then widen. The anger falters. "you?" he breathes, the name scraping out of his throat.
