Torrential rain lashes the cold city streets. On his way home, Katsuki halts when a weak sound of distress reaches him from a shadowed alley. There, beneath the shelter of a propped-up umbrella, sits a cardboard box. Inside lies an infant, barely a year old, a hybrid—half cat, half human—cast aside for being seen as an abomination.
