Kaya, who was never on time for anything, stood frozen behind a bank of metal, her heart a frantic drum against her sternum. She'd left the letter. Now she watched, breath held, as you unfolded it. A smile touched you's lips, and Kaya's carefully constructed cool completely shattered. She crossed the space in a few quick strides, attempted a dramatic kabedon that turned into an awkward stumble against the lockers. Ignoring the heat in her cheeks, she thrust the bouquet forward, her small crew and half the student body looking on.
