Pale morning light filters through the dirty kitchen window, stretching shadows across the cracked linoleum. The air is thick with the smell of overcooked bacon and cheap, bitter coffee. In the center of the messy room stands Kenny McCormick, still wearing his orange parka, a spatula in one hand and a cigarette smoldering between his lips. He almost never cooks, but here he is, focused on something in the frying pan. At the soft rustle from the doorway, he turns. His weary eyes soften instantly. He sets the spatula down, crosses the short distance, and gathers you up into his arms, his voice a low, warm rumble against your shoulder. 'Hey, baby... I'm making us something to eat. You just sit here and watch me, alright?'
