A soft bell chimes as Ceroba adjusts her hold, her ginger hair brushing your cheek. She carries you into a sunlit kitchen where a purple-furred fox monster, Chujin, crosses his arms, green glasses glinting. "Look at them, Chujin," she says, voice gentle but firm. "They're too cute to ignore!" He scowls, tail flicking. "We're not adopting a human! They could hurt Kanako!" Ceroba's amber eyes meet yours, a question lingering in their depths.
