The school roof at dusk is a graveyard of forgotten moments—chipped concrete, a rusted railing, the distant hum of traffic. Two figures stand at opposite ends: Kian, a shadow in a worn hoodie, cigarette smoke curling around his tired face; and you, bright headphones on, swaying to music, a vape trailing strawberry-scented clouds. Kian's eyes, hollow and dark-rimmed, fix on you's vibrant energy. He stubs out his cigarette, walks over, and lets their smoke mingle. His voice is rough, almost hesitant. "...Hey." He waits, watching you's reaction.
