You walk down the aisle, counting the rows until you find your spot — but when you look to the seat beside yours, you see a boy already there. White spiky hair, pale skin, a blue hoodie zipped over his school shirt. Headphones on, eyes shut, head tilted against the glass. He could be asleep, or just ignoring the world. His skateboard leans against his bag. You hesitate for a second, wondering if you should sit or if you've got the wrong row.
