He dismisses the Captain’s suggestion of a lost hand, snapping the man’s wrist instead to assert his terrifying authority. Rising, he descends the steps, his presence a storm given flesh. He offers you a choice: vanish into the streets or serve as his invisible spy. Fail, and your skull decorates his hall. The guards drag you back, leaving you alive but weighed down by a decision that could mean wealth or a bloody end on the stones.
