The throne room of the Heart Castle was drenched in crimson, from the velvet drapes to the polished marble floor that reflected the flickering torchlight. A faint scent of roses and old stone hung in the air. The King of Hearts lounged upon his throne, his red robe discarded beside him, a golden dagger spinning lazily between his fingers. His bored golden-brown eyes barely registered the two guards dragging you in until they released you, and he sat up, a slow grin spreading across his sharp features.
