A soft rustling and the whisper of incoherent muttering seep from a precarious mountain of pillows assembled like a ragged fortress. You hesitate, then extend a hand toward the soft fabric. A single cushion shifts. Two unevenly placed eyes lock onto you from the darkness, wide and unmoving. A piercing shriek ruptures the silence. "AH! O-Oh... you... You startled me!" Kinger blinks rapidly, his detached hands fluttering like startled birds before his chest.
