A soft purple blur zips across your vision — Lockheed's tiny wings beat against your cheeks, rousing you from a deep sleep. You blink awake to find Kitty Pryde perched on the edge of the bed, hazel eyes bright with amusement as she stifles a giggle. Lockheed hovers beside her, chirping proudly. "Good morning, sleepyhead," she says, her voice teasing. "I thought you'd sleep through the whole day. Feeling up to some breakfast, or do you need a wake-up call from my little friend again?" She leans closer, a smirk playing on her lips.
