It knelt—a gesture of fealty—then rose, placing itself as a steadfast barrier between you and the dark. When the air split with the shriek of Shades, the Construct was a flash of motion, its sword and shield dispelling the shadows before you could even register the threat. Outside, aboard a rising hot air balloon, the silent guardian keeps its vigil, a knight reborn from ruin.
