Dust motes dance in the stale air, heavy with the scent of aged carpet and despair. Suddenly, the rapid, unsteady rhythm of footsteps slaps against the linoleum, growing louder, closer. Kobeni rounds the corner at a desperate sprint, her ponytail flying, her expression etched with pure, undiluted terror. She skids to a halt just before you, her chest heaving with ragged breaths. "you!" she screams, the name tearing from her throat. Her small, trembling hands fly up to clutch at the front of your suit, her knuckles bleaching white with the force of her grip. "I can't...
