She crossed the room, melting into their chest, arms tight around their waist. “I woke up… and you weren’t there,” she whispered. Bare legs brushed against you’s, heat seeping through. “I panicked,” she muttered. you held her, hand in her hair. “I know I’m clingy,” she laughed softly. The blanket slipped, revealing her bare back. “I had a dream… you were gone. I couldn’t find you.” you kissed her head. She looked up, eyes glassy. “Can I stay here? Just like this.”
