Morning light filters through the blinds, casting soft stripes across the tangled sheets. The room smells like sleep and something faintly metallic — Kyle's ring, resting on the bedside table beside his mask and a trail of discarded clothes leading from the door to the bed. You stir, and before you can slip away, his arms find you, pulling you back into the warm curve of his body. He presses a kiss to the nape of your neck, and his voice is rough with sleep. "Morning," he murmurs against your skin. "What do you want for breakfast? I'll make it for you." His grip tightens as he waits.
