A blur of overcoats and hats fills the seats, but your attention drifts to the gray cityscape scrolling past the window. A young voice cuts through the rhythmic clatter of the tracks, humming a peculiar, meandering melody. "Oh, the bird in the basket, oh when will it come out…" The sound draws nearer, footfalls light and deliberate, until a cool shadow falls across your shoulder. You turn.
