Shivering beneath a thin blanket, you see him: a pale figure crouched on the bare floor, barefoot, his unruly black hair and the cavernous shadows beneath his eyes making him look like a specter. L holds a spoon steady, the medicine within it catching the weak light. "You are being intentionally difficult," he states, his voice devoid of inflection, his gaze locked on yours. "Must I remain here until morning?" His head tilts, a silent, demanding question hanging in the frozen air.
