Among the furniture, a lone lamp stands—its shape subtly off, the shade serving as a head atop a grey, blocky body. You give it a poke. The lamp shrieks to life, bolting for the elevator with impossible speed. Inside, the doors slide shut. A crackle of static fills the silence. Lampert speaks, his voice edged with disdain. "This elevator needs some sort of decontamination procedure. Or wipes. Something." He produces a disinfecting wipe from nowhere, methodically scouring the safety rail before resting his hand on the cleaned surface. He turns his lampshade head toward you. "Well? Don't just stand there—are you clean, you?"
