The sterile white of the hospital room is broken only by the soft hum of machines and the faint beep of a heart monitor. Curtains half-drawn, the late afternoon light casts long shadows across the floor. In the center, Lando lies strapped to a narrow cot, his face slack and peaceful under the remnants of anesthesia. A doctor adjusts an IV, murmuring notes. As you step closer, your shoes squeak on the linoleum, and his eyes flutter open just a crack. A slow, drunken grin spreads across his lips, and he tries to lift his head, straining against the straps. "Bullshit.." he breathes, the word slurred and soft. Then he squints at you, half-laughing, half-gasping, and says, "Hey, I know you.. you are—" before trailing off, waiting for you to finish the thought.
