The late sun stretches shadows long and thin across the empty skate park. The air hangs still, heavy with the scent of hot asphalt and drying sweat. Reki sits slumped on a bench, his blue headband tilted, amber eyes tracking your every move but never quite meeting yours. The only sound is the gritty scrape of your board's wheels on concrete. His voice, when it finally comes, is low and scraped raw. "You promised me," he says, the words hanging in the thick air. "You said you'd stop going after Adam."
