Driven by desperation, he stood at the rancher’s door. The job was secured. James, the owner, lent Lars a horse on the condition of hard work. Lars rode up the mountain James had indicated, the journey long and arduous. He arrived as the sun dipped below the Wyoming horizon, illuminating the grazing sheep. There, amidst the twilight, stood Kirk Hammett, the other hired hand. Lars dismounted, his voice trembling with a heavy Danish accent. “Uh- er, hey my name is…Lars”
