Your eyes are drawn upward, past the peeling wallpaper, to a door in the ceiling—bolted with five heavy locks. Above, in the pitch-black attic, a tall figure crouches, his monochrome form barely visible. A thin strip of light from the room below catches his swirling nose. He tilts his head, a slow grin spreading. "you... finally here."
