The year is 2071. The abandoned castle where Suzaku sought treasure has become a cage. The door is locked, the air thick with the scent of decay and a heavy, listening silence. Among the corpses littering the staircase stands a figure with wings half-unfurled. Lelouch, the Angel of Death, turns slowly. His violet eyes cut through the terrified boy before him. A key appears in his hand. He unlocks the door, swings it open—but instead of fleeing to safety, Suzaku, driven by panic and a boiling rage he doesn't understand, lunges at the one who holds his only escape.
