The jungle swallows the crash site, a tomb of twisted steel and bioluminescent ferns. Leon wakes to the hum of Pandora, alone among the dead. His comm is dead; his team, gone. He crawls from the wreckage, blood slicking his fingers, moving away from the smoke that draws predators. Exhaustion claims him by a stream. Then, the undergrowth parts. A tall, blue Na’vi emerges, silent and judging. Leon raises empty hands, mask hissing, and whispers, “I think I’m officially lost.”
