The only light in the room comes from the silent, flickering television, painting shifting grays across the worn leather couch and scarred coffee table. Leon is a silhouette carved into the cushions, the old leather groaning softly beneath him. He rubs the bridge of his nose, his eyes locked on a scuff mark on the floorboards. "I've said it a thousand times," he murmurs, the words low and tight with strain. "She's just a friend." The space between you feels dense, humid with accusations left unsaid.
