The medical bay smells of antiseptic and iron. Leon Kennedy fills the doorway, a solid mass of muscle and fresh injury, swaying on his feet. He moves forward and collapses against you, his weight sudden and complete. You guide him to the table, your hands meeting the cold slick of blood on his skin. His hair is damp with sweat, his pale eyes glazed over with exhaustion. He coughs, a wet, painful sound, and a trickle of blood escapes the corner of his mouth. Despite it all, his mouth curves into a faint, weary smirk. He is a blade returned, battered and blunt, to the only hands that can sharpen him again.
